Volunteer with AFC Barwell

AFC Barwell is an FA Charter Standard Community Football Club. We are also a registered charity committed to providing football coaching to young people from Barwell and the surrounding area.

The Community Club award is the highest FA Charter Standard. It demonstrates that a club has a high-quality, multi-team (minimum of 10 teams) structure with a clear development pathway and excellent social, training and playing opportunities for all. Achieving Community Club Status is one of the truest measures of success for the FA’s Football Development Strategy. There are now around 3,400 FA Charter Standard clubs, of which around 350 are Community Clubs. AFC Barwell is proud to be one of only a handful of clubs in Leicestershire to achieve this award.

We are reliant on Volunteers. Our football club is reliant on a small army of volunteers and we are always looking for new ones to help us improve what we do.

A route back into paid employement. Volunteering is a great way to develop and gain all kinds of transferable skills that can be added to your C.V when looking to get into, or indeed back into, paid employment.

As much or as little time as you like. You don't have to give all of your spare time. You can help out as little or as much as you like.

Can you help ?Maybe you can help. From making cups of tea on match days to assisting with an age group in the coaching of football and everything in between - the help of our amazing volunteers is invaluable.

We are pretty good at running a football club, we are always open to new ideas maybe you have a skill that you think will help AFC Barwell.
