AFC Barwell and the community

AFC Barwell is a registered charity and community club. It takes its responsibilities within the wider community seriously and recognises that it has a role beyond football.

Barwell Carnival

AFC Barwell are proud to be involved with the organisation of this historic annual event. The carnival has been held every year since 1946 and is a big occasion for the village of Barwell. It provides much need funding for local good causes as well a great opportunity for the young (and not so young) to take part.

The Ron Burford Memorial Award

The Ron Burford Memorial trophy was given to the football club so that every year it could be presented to those that demonstrate a positive attitude towards sport and the development of young people.

Dovecote Way Facilities

The facilities at Dovecote Way were opened in 2013. The Pavilion along with its kitchen facilities are available for variable term hire. If you would like to enquire about booking the club room and kitchen at our Dovecote Way facilities please click here.

Ethics in sport collaborative project

AFC Barwell are very proud to have been part of a European Union funded project surrounding ethics in sport. Due to its work with young people,The football club was the only sports club in the UK to have been chosen as a partner.
